Download these ready-to-use ‘History Assignment Coversheets’. These great coversheets will slash your marking time. The coversheets have been created by experienced examiners to give you confidence when providing feedback. The ‘History Assignment Coversheets’ covers Component 1 and 2 as well as Section A and B. The coversheets are intended for schools that are studying AQA A level History.
How to use
Highlight the relevant comments when marking. The highlighted comments are your students’ targets. The comments are closely linked to the mark scheme. There are even comments about spelling, grammar and punctuation. Use the exam board mark scheme and decide the appropriate level and mark. Write the marks in the box provided on the sheet. You have some space for any extra comments. Staple the coversheets to the front of their assessment. Invite your students to amend their work based upon your targets. Students also have a box where to set themselves targets. They should choose a couple of the highlighted comments as targets. As a result, you can clearly measure the progress your students.
Use the coversheets during peer assessment activities. Focus your feedback sessions on the common issues that arise on the ‘History Assignment Coversheets’. You can quickly identify those students that have grasped that assignment skill and use their work as an exemplar material.
